Pastor's Bio
I was raised in a fundamental, Independent Baptist home and church. My father has been in the ministry full-time since I was ten years old, and was my pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA. I saw my need for Christ as my Savior and accepted Him as my Savior when I was 13 years old. This occurred at Calvary Heights Baptist Church under Pastor Ralph Harrelson, and soon after my salvation I was scripturally baptized. The Lord called me to preach when I was seventeen years old, and I surrendered to that call. I was ordained November 2, 2003 at the age of 23, and began work as Associate Pastor at that time.

In October of 2006 the Lord began working in my heart concerning Pastoring. It was in this month that I surrendered to the call of Pastoring. It was not until December 2010 that the Lord opened the door for me to Pastor. I am very thankful to be in the ministry here at Welcome Road Baptist Church. The Lord has truly blessed my family in giving us the opportunity to serve Him through this local ministry.

Next to salvation, the greatest gift God has given to me is my wife Cheryl. We were married in April of 2003, and I am thankful to have her full support in the ministry. She has assisted me with our youth group and Sunday School class, and participates in our music program as an accomplished pianist. Most importantly, she supports me through prayer. We have one child, Miranda Rose, born in May, 2008.

Colossian 4:12, "....always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God."

The ministry of intercession, what a priviledge and a ministry to have.  It has been said that if one truly desires to be like Christ while living on this side of heaven take part in the ministry of intercession.  The Bible tells us that that is the very work that Christ is taking part in even now as you read this.  The book of Hebrews tells us that Christ ever liveth to make intercession of the saints.

It is a priviledged ministry.  To know that our prayers will help someone else.  To know that I am taking part in the very work of Christ.  To know that through my prayers God will help those in need.  We all know of those whostand in need of much prayer.  Do not hesitate to pray for them.

It is a powerful ministry.  God can move and will work in answer to our prayers.  There is no limit in the power of prayer because there is no limit in the power of God.
Prayer can do whatever God can do, because prayer moves God on the behalf of man.  Remember God can crack even the hardest of nuts.

It is a promising ministry.  God gives us promises that will be fulfilled in direct answer to prayer.  If these promises are directly answered through prayer then the simple conclusion would be for us to pray.  There are times when our prayers seem to go unanswered.  But take heart.  Remember that as long as God is on the throne, He is still willing and waiting to answer our prayers, especially when our prayer are for others.
